Ms. KUNITAKE (secretary) and Ms. TANOUE (technical staff) have joined Okilab!

The Oki Lab will move to Kumamoto University at the end of February, and all members visited Prof. Narimiya, Chair of the Department of Drug Discovery Medicine, to greet him. We received words of encouragement and congratulatory wine from Narimiya-sensei! We thank Narimiya-sensei for his help over the past four years.

The final presentation of the "Exercise in Genome Informatics" taught by Shinya was held. Although this lecture is intended for graduate students, we have received many applications from faculty members, postdoctoral fellows, and medical practitioners since the first year of the course. This year, we invited Prof. Yoshihiro Yamanishi from Nagoya Univ. and Prof. Yasuyuki Ohkawa from Kyushu Univ. as external lecturers to talk about the latest developments in AI drug discovery and omics technology, respectively. Zhaonan served as TA this year.

2023

Zhaonan (doctoral course) and Yuka (master's course) received their degrees. Congratulations to the first graduates of Oki Lab! We would like to thank Prof. Shuh Narimiya, Chair of the department, for providing us with valuable advice and excellent research environment.

2022

Mizuki, Zhaonan, and Shinya gave oral talks, and Yuka presented a poster at MBSJ2022.

Oki Lab has started its third year. Last year, we were able to publish four papers, so we paid a visit to Heian Shrine to give our thanks.

2021

Zhaonan has been selected as a JSPS Research Fellow (DC2). Congratulations!

Mizuki, Ryuichi, Zhaonan, and Yuka presented their posters at the MBSJ2021. Many people came to listen to them, making it a great success!

Oki Lab members went to Heian Shrine for exorcism and to ask the god for help. A few days after this, Mizuki's PIC paper got accepted!

Oki Lab has moved to the South Research Bldg No. 1.

Yuka has joined Oki Lab.

2020

A microscope and patterned illumination device (DMD) were implemented for PIC.

Oki Lab has started at Kyoto University.
