Recruitment
Students
Oki Lab is actively recruiting both undergraduate and graduate students who want to engage in cutting-edge research that integrates spatial omics technology (wet) and big data analysis (dry). Experience in omics analysis and bioinformatics is not necessarily required. In fact, current Oki Lab members come from a variety of academic backgrounds, including engineering, science, and medicine.
In addition to regular research advising for graduate students, Oki Lab also provides detailed instructions on preparing applications for the JSPS Research Fellowship (DC1, DC2). JSPS Research Fellowship provides students with a monthly living allowance of 200,000 JPY and an annual research grant of approximately 1,000,000 JPY. Graduate students affiliated with Oki Lab have been successfully approached for programs such as DC2, the JSPS WISE Program, and the JST SPRING Project.
Moreover, it is also possible to provide financial support to graduate students based on the TA/RA system, depending on the circumstances.
To join Okilab, you must take the entrance examination for the Graduate School of Medical Sciences.
There are multiple opportunities to take the exam each year for both the Master's and Doctoral programs.
Check here for admissions information (only available in Japanese).
